Ostern

Even after the bad news about the teaching posts I had a really nice weekend. Friday night Neil and met with some friends at the Impy and had a lovely dinner and conversation. We were lucky that we got a table as it was quite busy, so it was great! Saturday we all met at Dennis' house for an evening of food, poker, for most alcohol (we can't forget the cocktail!), Betty Boop cartoons and snooker. Sunday was spent being lazy, staying in bed until about noon and then walking to an Indian supermarket. In the evening we went to the Old Firehouse (since Oldtimers was closed) for a few drinks. We texted a few people but not too many were free. In the end Dave stopped by for a J2O on his way home from Manchester, and just when we were about to leave David texted that he was upstairs so we stayed for another drink. It was good to catch up with him. Today was another lazy morning and then lunch at Impy after which I came home and had a nice and relaxing footbath while watching some CSI: Miami (we really need to get some Freeview in this building so I can watch more stuff on Channel 5!!!)

Bis jetzt war das Osterwochenende echt schön, auch wenn es davor ein paar schlechte Nachrichten gab (ich hab die Stelle für nächstes Jahr nicht bekommen, aber wenigstens hat Erik die Stelle auch nicht bekommen!). Freitag abend waren Neil und ich im Imperial und haben uns mit ein paar Freunden getroffen. Wir hatten echt Glück dass wir einen Tisch gekriegt haben, denn es war viel los; aber trotzdem ein netter Abend! Am Samstag waren wir bei Dennis eingeladen; ein Abend mit leckeren Snacks, Poker, Alcohol, Betty Boop auf DVD und snooker, und gestern war dann ein ziemlich fauler Tag. Bis Mittags im Bett, dann ein kurzer Spaziergang und Abends ein paar drinks im Old Firehouse (Oldtimers was dann doch zu). Wir hatten ein paar Leute eingeladen, aber wegen Ostern waren es dann doch nur Neil und ich für die meiste Zeit. Dave ist auf seinem Nachhauseweg von Manchester kurz vorbei gekommen, und als wir dann nach Hause wollten hat David eine SMS geschickt, dass er auch im Firehouse ist und wir sind noch auf einen drink geblieben. Es war echt nett ihn mal wieder zusehen. Und heute war noch ein fauler gemütlicher Vormittag und ein lunch im Imperial, dann ein schönes Fussbad während ich CSI: Miami geguckt habe...
